Louder and shorter than original jar

It looks very similar to the original jar on our KitchenAid, but is 1" shorter for slightly less capacity. The lid from the original still fits this jar.
However, this jar is considerably LOUDER than the original when in operation.
Maybe the blades that are a part of the jar are out of balance?
Other than the noise, the new jar works fine.
